Luke was baptized at First Pres on Sunday. He didn't make a peep during the entire ceremony; he didn't mind the water on his head; and he didn't mind having a stranger hold him.
He wore his little white romper that Gram made for him.
When the pastor asked us to sing "Jesus Loves Me", Luke looked the congregation over very carefully, and then joined in by "singing" along.

What does his being baptized mean? That he will be saved, might be saved or we have no idea?I know that different presbyterians give various meanings to sprinkling water on an infant.
Luke is a covenant child-born of believing parents (and Grandchild, I might add!!). His baptism is a public declaration of this. It does not save him...only Christ can do that. So, we look to the Lord to bring Luke to a saving knowledge (the understanding that Luke is a sinner in need of a Savior) of Himself in due time.
Oh yeah!!! Luke's GREAT Grandparents are believers, too!! What a heritage God has given that lil fellow!!
Is he a covenant grandchild? Could he have been baptized since he has covenant parents?What if they were not believers?
Well, his parents are believers, so it's a moot point. Further discussion can be continued elsewhere. :D
